New Images of AI was an Open Collab workshop and exhibition that explored fresh visual metaphors for artificial intelligence, aiming to move beyond outdated stereotypes as AI technologies continue to reshape our lives. I took part in the session, contributing work that responded to the theme through collaborative visual exploration.
Open Collab - created by Patrick Thomas and Jonathan Auch - is a collaborative digital tool designed to bring creatives together to produce new works. Born out of the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic, it emerged as a response to the need for connection and collective creativity during a time of global separation. The platform allows designers to participate in online exhibitions by uploading and combining visual assets - fostering spontaneous collaboration across borders and disciplines, all through the internet.

I believe it is important to highlight this quick, experimental stage of the design process alongside more refined and polished outcomes. It offers insight into the development of ideas and emphasises the value of spontaneity, iteration, and collaboration in creative practice.
